  • La abuela 84×198 cm (Private collection)
  • Danza de lo caballeros 200×180 cm (Private collection)
  • Valentina 92×205 cm (Available)

In 2011, there is a slight change of subject: from music to dance. During this period, the hands of the figures stop playing instruments and begin to dance. The use of background patterns, and gold and cooper leafs is common.

Inspired by “Dance Of The Knights” by Sergei Prokofiev

Oil on canvas. 200×180 cm. Madrid 2011. “Danza de los caballeros” (Dance Of The Knights) is my first painting inspired by ballet dancers. And the first painting where the figures are dressed. This is probably one of the works that took me longer to complete.
The feeling I get when listening to Prokofiev while looking at the painting is priceless. The painting is in my private collection at the moment. However, I will consider each offer carefully.
The edges of the painting were damaged when moving the painting from Spain to Italy. This painting can’t be shipped easily, not even if it was rolled, since it is 200 cm long by 180 cm height.

Valentina

Oil on canvas. 92×205 cm. Florence 2012. A beautiful painting that has suffered the high humidity of Venice. It depicts a ballet teacher I had the pleasure to meet. A complex pattern covers the background. The edges of the painting are damaged. It is currently available for sale here.
